Sharmila Shyangtan is a PhD candidate in Development and Sustainability at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. Her research focuses on indigenous peoples, education, livelihood, development, and sustainability. In addition to her academic pursuits, Sharmila is passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship among indigenous communities. She is dedicated to fostering creative solutions that blend traditional knowledge with modern approaches to sustainability. Her work emphasizes the importance of empowering indigenous peoples to lead and innovate within their own communities, driving initiatives that promote sustainable development while preserving cultural heritage.
Operations Lead
Born and raised in Thailand, Matt Saittawut Yutthaworakool is a PhD candidate in Gender and Development Studies at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). He has more than seven years of experience in research, advocacy, and management in public, private, and civil society sectors. His current research involves gender/sexuality, human rights, and sustainable development with focus on marginalized communities. Matt was a co-founder of “Think, Care, Share,” a movement that empowers Thai youth as a changemaker to combat disinformation, supported by ASEAN Foundation and Google.org. Matt is passionate about social entrepreneurship and innovation. He believes that communities and innovation are the core of sustainable social impact where no one is left behind.
Digital Strategy Lead
Anish started his career as a software developer and has since transitioned into a leader and entrepreneur. Anish holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and a Master’s degree in Political Science, which deepens his understanding of Diplomatic and International Relations.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Anish is an avid traveler with a love for adventure, aspiring to explore destinations like Dolpa, Upper Mustang, and Everest Basecamp.
